Welcome to Lamphai Thai Massage

We provide various types of massages and reflexology services. All services are carried out by well trained and experienced masseuses.

What does it involve?

It's quite straightforward, you lie on a bed or mat fully clothed for Traditional Thai massage or draped in a towel provided by us for oil massage. The practitioner will use their thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet and knees to stretch your body.

The main channels within the body for distributing energies are called Sen. Each Sen channel is pressed repeated from every direction with the positions of the limbs and trunk being constantly changed.

When the practitioners are sure all the soft tissues have been sufficiently pressed then the stretching beings. Stretches start off small and develop to more large scale for which Thai Massage is known.

What does Thai Massage do?

In normal everyday life we never fully develop our muscles and they become tense and shorten. The brain interprets a shorter muscle as a contraction and therefore inhibits the activities of the antagonistic muscles which weaken as a result.

Regular Thai Massage stretches the muscles back to their normal resting length which deceived the brain into thinking that all is well and therefore it stops inhibiting the antagonistic muscles. It is soon after that tension disappears and joint mobility is restored.

How does It Feel?

Almost all recipients of Thai Massage feel relaxed, refreshed and much more flexible afterwards. Initial recipients of Thai Massage may find some of the pressing uncomfortable but this usually declines with regular massage.  See what some of our customers have said:

"Very good, excellent and comfortable service – proper muscular massage" - Norman

"Really enjoyed the Thai Massage – Feel fabulous. So good, I booked another" - Cathy

"Thank you! Amazing first treatment/massage. I love it. See you again soon" - Julia

Thai Massage benefits most people however if you have conditions that prohibit other forms of massage it would be best to check with your doctor. If you are in reasonably good health regardless of your age you can benefit from Thai Massage.
